EdPotential Teacher's Guide (NZ)

This article gives an overview of the areas of EdPotential you may find helpful as a classroom teacher.

Logging in

There is a unique login URL for your school to access your data on EdPotential. Once your DP shares this URL with you, you can log in using your school account details.

Alternatively, your DP may have set up a link in KAMAR. This is accessed from the lightbulb icon top left of your KAMAR home page. Click on the lightbulb then click on the EdPotential link.

If you are already logged in to your school account on your device, you will automatically be logged in to EdPotential.

Dashboard

The dashboard provides a view of school-wide assessment data. Here you are able to monitor cohort progress over time by viewing longitudinal data.

My Classes

In My Classes you have quick links to the reports for the classes you teach.

If one of your classes is not showing, it is likely because the class has been assigned to another teacher. You can still view the class in Class Reporting, as outlined below.

Class Reporting

To access any class report, click on the second tab Reporting then the second sub-tab Class.

Visit a class report to view students results in your class. Use these results to monitor students' progress and to review the teaching and learning of standards.

Student Reporting

To access a student report, click on the Reporting tab.

In the student report you are able to view all student data: student’s demographics, achievement history, qualification attainment, class history.

NCEA Reporting

To access NCEA Reporting, click on the second tab Reporting then the second sub-tab NCEA.

On this page you are able to create an exportable list of a selected group of students and choose which NCEA results are listed. For example, you can create a list of Year 11 students, how many credits they have and whether they have passed the literacy and numeracy requirements.
