Finding Results in the Common Assessment Activities (CAAs) on EdPotential

There are a number of places on EdPotential where you can find details of student results in the CAAs. Which one meets your needs depends on what level of detail you are looking for.

Overall CAA Results

To view the overall CAA results head to Explore the Data.

Follow the NCEA path to Work and Study Skills.

Select the standard you wish to view, select Grade, then OK.

Choose the years you wish to view.

If selecting more than one standard, select each standard before you select OK.

If you wish to export a list of students in the data, select export.

A List of Students' CAA Results

In NCEA Reporting you can either filter for students who have passed or are yet to pass a selected CAA or you can view a list of students and their results in one or more of the CAAs.

Select Show more filters and Show column options.

Select a year level.

In the NCEA filters you can choose to filter for one result in one standard, for example, to get a list of all students in the selected year level who have passed the reading assessment, US32403.

To filter for the students who have not yet passed and are entered for a standard select Not Yet Assessed.

To see a list of students and their results select the standard/s in the column options to add it/them to the list.

One Student's CAA Results

You can view a more detailed summary of a student's NCEA results, including whether they have passed the CAAs, in Student Reporting.

Alternatively, clicking on a student name in the list in NCEA Reporting will open that student's report.

โ€‹In the NCEA Summary you can view whether the student has passed the literacy and numeracy requirements. If only one of the literacy CAAs has been passed, this will be listed in the Certifications and qualifications section.

In the Student grade comparison you can view results in each standard. Select the filter top right, then choose the Type: NCEA Unit Standard.
