Using Class Reports (NZ)


This article gives an overview of how you can use class reports. In a class report, available NCEA, PAT, e-asTTle, and school-based results are aggregated at the class level.

To access a class report, click on the second tab Reporting, then the second sub-tab Class.

In a class report, you can

  • Monitor student progress in your class
  • Analyse NCEA results by standard, gender and ethnicity
  • Identify where students are at as indicated by PAT, e-asTTle or school based results

Features

NCEA Results

  • All results are shown by credit counts
  • Results are broken down by standard, gender and ethnicity
  • You can order the results in the student list by clicking on a column heading. Click once to order from lowest to highest, or twice, to order by highest to lowest

New in 2024 - PAT and e-asTTle Class Summary

In the PAT and e-asTTle summaries, you can see your students results in each area assessed by PAT or e-asTTle assessments. The latest results are shown by default. To see earlier results, change the level in the dropdown menu.


Using the graph, you are able to

  • Compare class results to school results in the side-by-side box plots
  • Compare class results to the national norm, the dotted line across each box plot 

Using the summary section, you are able to

  • Understand how class results compare to the school and national averages and spreads

Using the student list, you are able to

  • Compare each student's results to the class averages

Interactive Features

  • Enter a student's name in the Filter students search to filter for one student’s results
  • Click on a student's name to view a graph comparing the student's results to class and school results
  • Order the list by any column by clicking on the column heading
  • Click Export to export the list as a csv file

Course Results

If your school based assessment results have been mapped on EdPotential, your aggregated class results will show in your class report.
