Viewing cohort or individual PAT scores on EdPotential

EdPotential enables you to view PAT scores on an individual level, or for an entire cohort. This article shows how to achieve this.

Individual Students

1. From the Reporting page, select the Student tab.
2. Select a student.
   1. Search for a student using the search bar or by using the filter list. Their PAT information will be available under the title PAT summary.

You may see a small arrow accompanied by a number beside the student's Stanine and scaled score.

• Green indicates the student performed better than their previous year's score.
• Red indicates the student's score decreased.

If no PAT data is loaded for the student, then there will be no reference to PAT data on the student's profile page.

Entire Cohort

1. Navigate to the Explore the data tab and click Browse (located underneath What do you want to plot?). Select your options:
   1. Select the required Qualification (e.g. PAT)
   2. Select the required Type (e.g. Reading Comprehension)
   3. Select the required Level (e.g. Year 9)
   4. Select the required Syllabus (e.g. 10PATC - Year 10 Reading Comprehension)
   5. Select the required Results (e.g. Scaled score)
      1. To view a cohort's stanine score, select Stanine instead.

   

2. Click Ok, and then select the required Years of interest (e.g. 2021). A box and whisker plot will then be automatically generated.





3. To view several years' results, select more than one year (e.g. 2020-2022). Several charts will then be produced so you can view how results have differed over those years.
